You can wave your tablet or phone around the scene from the YouTube app,

or scroll around the video on YouTube desktop.

How much should I pay for a VR headset?

You can get a budget Google Cardboard virtual reality headset for as little as £5 / $5

For a more comfortable headset, of which there are many to choose from, which you can insert your smartphone into, which provide a surprisingly rich experience, expect to spend around £20 / $20 or more.

Google and Samsung's mobile headsets are more advanced, rounded and comfortable

and also cost less than $100 / £100.

Independent standalone headsets with a full VR experience include The Oculus Go, costs £200 / $200.

Oculus Quest costs £400/ $400. PlayStation VR costs $240 / £240.

For a more powerful virtual reality set up connected to a PC (Macs don't support VR properly),

the  Oculus Rift S costs $400 / £400, Windows Mixed Reality headsets can be cheaper,

HTC Vive and Vive Pro are more expensive.

Many other headsets are available and more are coming out all the time.
